For complete information, call the CDC at 770-488-5372 or view its website, http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/drh/art.htm We have concentrated on improving our "take home baby rate" by reducing miscarriages, as well as by increasing the number of patients who conceive. This is accomplished by detecting factors which may adversely affect pregnancy outcome BEFORE undergoing an ART cycle, and correcting them. Our data has been presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, in October, 2003, in San Antonio. | ART Success Rates for 2002: Livebirth/Egg Retrieval 2 | | Fresh Embryos from Nondonor Eggs1 | | Under 35 | 33/59 | 56% | | 35 to 37 | 3/12 | 25% | | 38 to 40 | 1/12 | 8% | |

| After universal screening/treatment for immune causes of reproductive failure: 2002 | | Clinical Pregnancy Rate | 54/97 | 56% | | Miscarriage Rate | 4/54 | 7% | | Expected Delivery Rate | 50/97 | 52% |
Before universal testing for immune factors of pregnancy loss the miscarriage rate was 19% and the take home baby rate was 39%. After universal testing and treatment for immune causes of pregnancy loss, the miscarriage rate decreased to 7%, resulting in a take home baby rate of 52%!
