We are so excited to offer our office-based MonaLisa Touch® laser therapy to our patients who are experiencing Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM). More than 75% of our postmenopausal patients experience vaginal dryness, sexual pain, and/or bladder leakage. For those who are unable to take estrogen, such as breast cancer survivors, MonaLisa Touch is a non-hormonal vaginal treatment designed to help treat their vaginal symptoms. These vaginal/bladder symptoms have a substantial negative impact on our patients’ relationships and quality of life.
How does it work? MonaLisa Touch laser therapy stimulates collagen, elastin and activate fibroblasts to help restore the vaginal lining to pre-menopausal health. In a recent study published in Menopause this year, 85% of Mona Lisa laser-treated patients rated their improvement as "better or much better." Long term, 78% reported either "satisfied or very satisfied."
If you have GSM and cannot or prefer not to take Estrogen, MonaLisa Touch may mitigate your symptoms and improve your quality of life.
