It is hard to imagine that I would look forward to going to see a doctor, but I surely do! Not only do I feel so much better after receiving my testosterone pellets, it is always a pleasant experience to see Dr. Mac & Kristi, along with their helpful and wonderful team @ Men’s & Women’s Specialty Health Centers! Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel like the most important person there! I would never consider going anywhere else!

My experience with Dr. Mac and his staff was wonderful, as always! I had been to multiple other doctors before seeing Dr. Mac, all who said they couldn’t help me. I felt hopeless-like I couldn’t be fixed. Dr. Mac assured me that he would figure out the cause of my problem and fix it. That’s exactly what he did! Every time I see him, I end up healed and feeling 100%. Not only that, but the staff and Dr. Mac make me feel special; they show they really care-not just for my health, but for me as a person. I have been through a lot of health issues and Dr. Mac makes it all so much easier. I honestly don’t know how I could make it without him and his staff.

Dr. Mac and his staff have been great on my journey through the experience of the stages of menopause. Dr. Mac treats his patients with respect and care in his attitude. I highly recommend him. You will be in good hands at his office.

I started using pellet hormones in 1990 with Dr. McLaughlin and the pellets have been a big help to me, as my nerves were a wreck.
Margaret
Energy levels have increased. No depression, sleeping better. Life has a positive outlook. Dr. Mac and all of his staff are so friendly, personal, kind and caring. Never had a negative experience from the front desk to the exam room. They listen! The whole office pays attention to you as a person not as another life on the shelf. Thank you for being here.

When I first met Dr. Mac 2 ½ years ago, I was at the end of my rope. After battling migraines for 15-18 years, they progressed to the maximum point, coupled with the inability to concentrate and anxiety. I felt totally incapacitated. Family and friends helped me research treatment options, and I got an appointment the day after my decision was made. I began to feel better within just a few days and NO MORE migraines! It wasn’t a total quick fix over these 2 years, but believe me when I say that it was miraculous! I tell people now that “I got my life back…” My husband says, “I got my wife back!” I can easily trace the transformation back to core Dr. Mac. Kristi and his whole staff are so attentive and provide excellent compassionate service to myself and anyone I refer to them. They patiently discuss symptoms, lab results, treatment options and bend over backwards to facilitate insurance payments. I’m thankful, I’m smiling, and I’m so much more peaceful. I can say honestly (and literally): “Dr. Mac, thanks for saving my life!

I have been a patient of Dr. McLaughlin’s since 1995. We have been together through some minor and some not-so-minor surgeries. I had also had my hormone replacement therapy (HRT) expertly managed by Dr. Mac and his nurse practitioner Kristi Marcella for well over a decade. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with estrogen and progesterone receptor positive breast cancer in January, 2014, so I had to give up my beloved hormones!! (And, by the way, I firmly believe the breast cancer was not caused by the HRT. I have a strong family history of breast cancer, among some other risk factors.) My HRT was discontinued at the end of January. I forgot to mention that I still had my uterus and right ovary and fallopian tube. I continued to have daily vaginal bleeding for a couple of months so I made an appointment with Dr. Mac. An endometrial biopsy was negative for cancer, but a vaginal ultrasound revealed a couple of rather large uterine fibroids that made my uterus the size of a 16 to 18 week pregnancy. That was in June of 2014. Dr. Mac suggested I return to see him after tracking my bleeding for a few months. In the mean, while dealing with these gynecologic problems I had a bilateral mastectomy on 2-26-14. I had already decided to have the breast surgeries so I was really hoping for a vaginal hysterectomy and removal of the right ovary and tubes. I also had nipple reconstruction by the plastic surgeon at the same time. Unfortunately, there were so many adhesions from 3 previous Cesarean sections; a vaginal hysterectomy was totally out of the question. A “lesser surgeon” would have run out of the operating room in sheer terror! Dr. Mac expertly did the hysterectomy abdominally. And when I say “expertly”, that is an extreme understatement. I woke up that evening very upset that the hysterectomy had to be done abdominally. I was already figuring I would be without a paycheck for 3 weeks- I also figured an abdominal hyst would add at least another week off. The pain was so bad; Dr. Mac was already planning on keeping me another day in the hospital. I woke up the next morning feeling so much better. By 10 a.m., I had my catheter and IV out, and the nurses had me up walking in the halls. Dr. Mac came to see me around noon or so and I was on my way home by 2 p.m.-less than 24 hours after a very major surgery on 11/5. I was driving by 11/17, and I have been cleaning, cooking, doing laundry and ironing. I already have Christmas decorations up (as of 11/25/14), and I have been doing Christmas baking and have Thanksgiving preparations well under way. I even went out for lunch with an old high school friend yesterday. What I am saying is that Dr. McLaughlin is an unbelievably skillful gynecologic surgeon. I will be able to return to work in 3 and half weeks, post abdominal hysterectomy. Dr. McLaughlin’s surgical skills are above reproach! I consider myself most privileged to have had Dr. Mac as my surgeon. If you have any further questions, the office has my phone number, and I would not hesitate to talk to you or answer any further questions you might have. DR. MCLAUGHLIN IS WORTH GOING OUT OF YOUR NETWORK FOR!!

I knew my experience with Dr. Mac would be different as soon as I walked in. The front desk staff and nurses were so kind and compassionate. Dr. Mac thoroughly diagnosed what had been causing me pain for 6 years and after major abdominal surgery for stage 4 endometriosis and a fibroid. I am feeling better than I have in years. Thank you to Dr. Mac and his team (especially Cori!) for taking such good care of my husband and I during the entire process. I’m so happy that I continued to search for a doctor that would really listen and continue to see me and investigate until a complete diagnosis and plan for treatment were figured out.

Dr. Mac has been part of our family since 1975. From me having polycystic ovaries and with the cutting edge help from Dr. Mac our two daughters and 4 grandchildren would not complete the love of our family. Both of our daughters needed the help from Dr. Mac. His staff offered the advice of looking into the D level in order to conceive her daughter. Dr. Mac was the best choice I’ve had in all my surgeries from bedside manners and the caring of me as a friend and not just a patient. You can feel his knowledge even at the first visit and even from the staff. His office works like a well-oiled clock. He has a very high standard of what he wants his staff to achieve and it shows! Without Dr. Mac I wouldn’t do so well, with the right medicine to treat my diabetes. He is up to date on all the new medications and how to treat them. By far Dr. Mac goes beyond any exceptions of the best Dr in his field. He is a winner in me and my daughter’s life. He’s the best!!

Words alone cannot explain the improvement in quality of life I have experienced with HRT pellet therapy. Since starting this treatment I feel like I have my life back! I have mental clarity, invigorated and renewed intimacy with my husband, energy to burn and an overall feeling of well-being. To complete the package, Dr. Mac and Kristi always make me feel cared for- well cared for- so much so that I travel from Florida every few months to see them for treatment.

I met Dr. Mac over 20 years ago when my endometriosis was extremely advanced (level 4). Dr. Mac and his staff welcomed me with open arms. His practice has always been proactive and because of it my husband and I are blessed with two healthy children, without the use of fertility meds. Mac continued to care for me throughout my post reproductive years. He has performed multiple scopes and a davinci hysterectomy. My care continues with hormone replacement therapy and pellets. I know that my health today is because of Mac and his staffs professional and personal care. My husband and I are so grateful!

As a sixty-one year old grandmother of two, and full time real-estate agent; it’s so important to me to be the best I can be. My friends of the same age all comment I look much younger and have more energy than all of them. But for my own well-being I feel twenty years younger. Dr. Mac has for twelve years, been the best therapy any woman could wish for. Having lived in Hawaii and Florida I had to have local physicians to do my yearly exams, both said my hormone levels were just perfect and I was a very lucky woman to be so healthy. Thanks to Dr. Mac.

I thought I was done at 49 I had no energy, sexual drive, headaches, and mood swings until a lady at Regional Hospital was doing my yearly mammogram and she began talking to me about “Pellets.” I had no clue what “pellets” were. As she educated me and I researched about them, I made the call to Dr. Mac, and “boy am I glad I did.” I was so low on my testosterone and estrogen; this was why I was feeling bad. They did a thoroughly set of labs and found out how low they were; I then received my pellets. I felt so much better. I had better moods, no aches, pains, and a definite increase in sexual desire and a lot more. My second visit was wonderful. The staff still as wonderful as the first visit, pleasant and “they care.” I am on my second set of pellets and so excited to see what happens the next two months. Thanks to Dr. Mac, and his wonderful staff! Love you all!!

After a miscarriage last Christmas and the discovery of endometriosis by my OBGYN I was referred to Dr. Mac and his team. I was told I had severe endometriosis among other issues and required surgery. I was terrified but Dr. Mac was confident it could be fixed and I felt safe knowing I was in his hands. My surgery exposed more issues and Dr. Mac along with Dr.Genson handled them quickly so I would not have to endure another surgery. I am at the end of the recovery process and could not be any more pleased with the work done and the attention Dr. Mac and the nurses have given every step of the way. Thanks!

After years of continuous pain, I am finally pain free! I had a speedy recovery and was able to return to work and care for my family almost immediately!

Dr. McLaughlin and ALL Staff- I am unsure where to begin on thanking your for all you have done for us. You have an amazing office full of kind and compassionate people. We would be lost if it wasn’t for your office. To have full confidence and emotional support in one place has been amazing. Again, thank you for all of your kindness and all the times we were greeted at the door, down to the pleasant help with insurance concerns. We LOVE your office and will gladly refer you to anyone we know!
Bobby and Kelly
Dr. Mac and Staff- I just wanted to send you updated pictures of my ‘little blessings’ you all helped to get here. Thank you for all that you do!

I am not sure how to express my appreciation for the past 15 years of your medical expertise on treating my endometriosis. I was amazed to have our first child, Katherine Marie, and now we have added a boy to our family, Jacob Victor. Thank you! My husband and I will be eternally grateful to you and your staff for the past 15 years of dedicated and compassionate care you have provided to our family!
Jody
I just wanted to write you a note to show my appreciation to you. You and your staff have done so much for me. You are such a great doctor and I will recommend others to you. I know that you have done all that you can do for me and what you feel is right. Being single, it is difficult to make these decisions on my own. But you have been there for me and helped me know what to do. I have a lot of confidence in you. Thanks again for all you have done. I consider you a “friend” as well as my doctor. Thanks for being there for me!
Cindy
I couldn’t allow any more time to pass without saying thank you for taking time out of your very busy schedule to return my call and to speak with me earlier this month. Greg and I have such respect and trust in you, both personally and professionally. I cannot express how grateful and relieved I am that I had an opportunity to discuss my concerns with you. I continue to wish that I could transplant you and your office to Kansas City. Again, thank you for your medical advice, suggestions, and most of all your kindness.
Lisa
I have been using the estrogen pellets for five years. I feel better than ever. I only used the pills for a short time because they didn’t help. Once I started the pellets, I don’t have hot flashes and many of the problems that go along with menopause. I think that Dr. McLaughlin is one of the finest doctors anywhere and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust him with my life!
Jill
I’ve tried several times over the last few months to sit down and write you this letter. I struggle to find the right words to express our deep gratitude to you. I tend to express myself better in letters, but find myself at a loss. So, I will make this short and sweet. You know that I was on the verge of giving up, but you were determined. That determination and support from you is what kept me going. I have so many reasons to thank you. Your honesty, compassion, kindness, and determination are all the qualities that make you a wonderful doctor and person. Most of all, I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for little “Eats”, you have changed our lives forever.
Greg and Susan
Thank you so much for all you have done. You’ve made our heartache so much easier to deal with. It’s been very hard on us, as I’m sure like so many others. You all are so caring, honest, and gentle. It’s nice to know people still have compassion for people and their jobs. Everyone there has been nothing but good to us! Dr. Mac is very good at his job and so are the nurses. We just can’t say or feel enough good about all of you! We know that our dream will come true just because you’re on our side!
Clint and Christy
Thought you would enjoy a new picture of the twins. They are now 5 months and starting to scoot around in their walker and play with toys. We will always remain grateful to all of you for the part you played to help us have these beautiful blessings!

I remember walking in your door October of 2000 as a single woman in pain having gone through two laparoscopic surgeries and two Lupron series and endometriosis still running rampid in my body. I had been told that if I wanted to have children it needed to be within the next 3 to 6 months. I was devastated; no part of my life was ready for a child. I was 28, no husband (not even a boyfriend at the time), no home, no savings; I wanted to follow my faith and wait to have children until I was married. I love children, I had been a Sunday School teacher since I was a senior in high school, and was at the time coordinating kids club at a Christian store and volunteering for story time. In addition to Sunday school I work with and teach children’s church. I tell you this only to emphasize my love for children. I have always wanted to be a wife and mother. It seemed so cruel that women that would leave their children in a dumpster or harm them could so easily give birth and I couldn’t. Your practice gave me hope for the future. Giving hope to someone is giving them strength to take another step, the energy to endure, and joy to get through the next hurdle. Giving me hope was amazing enough but you also worked with me to manage my pain. Your staff consoled me, and gave me options specific to my situation. I can remember crying after an ultrasound that revealed a large cyst and being hugged by a nurse who felt my emotional pain and knew my physical pain, I remember a surgery when I was particular nervous and fell asleep looking up at a smiling nurse holding my hand. I have never been a number, chart, or a file, I am always greeted with a smile, tenderness and known by name. Everyone is comforting and listens to fears, concerns, general life complaints, and hopes. If it wasn’t enough that you and your staff gave me hope, support, and treatment, but you even went as far as help with finances. Thank you to your “pit bulls” for finance and fighting the good fight with my insurance carrier. I know the hours logged in to get the surgeries and treatments approved where long and tenacious. You were respectful and always timely to respond to my needs. After years of treatment I am now sitting here typing this while looking at my son, he’s taking a nap. He is an angel, a blessing, a gift, and a miracle. He smiles and my heart jumps; it was all worth it. My heart literally overflows with love and amazement at his coos and grunts. He has his father’s hair color, ears, and chin. He has my eyes, mouth and nose. I never thought I would be able to say that…”My child has my…”. He is mine; I created him (well with the help of a few nurses, a doctor, laboratory scientist and a partridge in a pear tree). You were able to calm my fears and you called me consistently to update me outlining my next steps, worked with my history to insure. With all my previous complications, and current conditions, I was a difficult and complicated patient, but the extra work put into my care was done effortlessly, carefully, and compassionately by everyone. I remember many times sitting in your office and watching you hover over the babies, take turns holding them, and taking a picture for the wall of births. I couldn’t believe how you all were so excited for the couples; like special aunts and uncles. You take such joy in a positive pregnancy result and the birth of all those miracles. Now our family picture is up on that wall, thanks to you…all of you. Even during the pregnancy and now after the pregnancy you offer emotional support. You are an amazing group. I am proud to call you my extended family. I never really thought a lot about what the word neighbors meant in “Love thy neighbor as thyself” but now after being your patient and knowing you, I realize that neighbor isn’t the person next door, it’s everyone you meet; you have treated me with such care and love; you have treated me as a neighbor. Thank you. I know God is at work in your practice, I have seen it first hand. I pray he continues to bless you and your patients.
Christy
Dear Dr. Mac & Staff, As we decorate our Christmas tree and Taylor becomes one year old, we had to take the time to thank you all for being in our lives. You all are very special to us and we wanted to let you know this. You have wonderful people working for you, people who listen, care and respond. Many places are not thankful for that because it does make a huge positive difference. As we reflect back on this past year with Taylor we realize how fortunate we are to have her in our lives. Dr. Mac, you have smiled and hugged us in the happy times and wiped away many tears in the difficult times. Your staff had an incredible impact on how we were able to get through the last couple of years in our determination to become parents. We sincerely thank you for taking the time to choose the right people and be a great person in your field of work. Thank you for sharing in our tremendous joy when Taylor came into our lives. We are sure that you probably receive letters all the time but please know that deep in our hearts, we know that we could not of made it without you. Christmas time will always be an incredibly special time for us because of Taylor, but also because you continue to give us hope and encouragement when we were close to giving up. We thank you for making our dreams come true. Thank you for the many couples that you continue to help everyday become parents. Should you ever wake up one morning too tired to get out of bed, think again, there are too many of us at you door each and every day depending on you. Depending on you both for your positive encouragement, your extremely bright intelligence in knowing what are right to do, your character, and your compassion to help. Thank you all very much for all that you have done.
Dave, Jane and Taylor
How do I even begin to find a way to say thank you? I can’t fathom that there are enough words or the right words to express how grateful I am for everything you have been to me and to our family. Dr. Mac, you and your incredible staff have helped make it possible for our dream of having another child to be realized. Our first child, Isabella, was placed into our arms three years ago because of your efforts. Now, at last, our second daughter, Liliana Hope, has arrived into this world safe and perfect in every way. I know in my heart that this would have never happened if it wasn’t for your dedication, determination, wisdom and compassion. She is nothing less than a miracle and we are blessed beyond measure!

Dear Dr. McLaughlin and Staff,-My wife, Angie, and I are graduating from your recurrent miscarriage program tomorrow. The words of this letter can’t even come close to explaining what you and your staff have meant to us over the past six months. However, I feel compelled to try and to express our tremendous gratitude. After our second pregnancy loss we were referred to a recurrent miscarriage specialist by the name of Dr. David McLaughlin. We didn’t know much about this doctor, other than that he came highly recommended, but were grateful to have been referred to him. Tonight we are carrying a twelve week 2 day perfect baby that we love with all of our hearts. We owe it all to you Dr. Mac and your staff. Without your extreme brilliance and desire to be the best at everything you do, we would never have been able to experience this joy. You have truly been an answer to our prayers. We thank God that you have touched our lives and so many others. With our graduation from your care tomorrow, I reflect back on all that you and your staff has done for us. I think of our feelings of desperation, loss of hope, and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I think of the joy you have now given us. I think of the nurses’ diagnostic intelligence and availability to answer our questions no matter how many times we called. I think of constant compassion, understanding, and skillfulness. I think of Cheryl’s smile, compassion, and desire to provide the best care possible. I think of how friendly and genuinely concerned the office staff is for us, always wanting to see the latest ultrasound photos. I remember how excited everyone was when we found out that we were pregnant. I will always remember “the grip.” I will always remember you giving Angie hugs and reassuring her with every visit. Most of all we will always remember that you gave us our dream that we had been dreaming of our whole lives. A baby. A family.
Bradley
So often we only take time to write letters when they are negative, but I have felt compelled to write on of a different nature. I wanted to express my appreciation for the wonderful care I have received at your office. I have been overwhelmed with the competence, efficiency, and professionalism coupled with friendliness and sincere compassion for your patients that you and your staff exude. From a patient’s point of view, I must tell you it is a rarity in a medical office. I appreciate so much coming to your office being greeted at the front desk with a smile and having that continue throughout the whole appointment. I am grateful to you, your nursing staff and the office staff for making my visits to you office relaxed and comfortable. Thank you , again, for everything!
Paula
Dear Dr. McLaughlin and staff- Brad and I want you all to know that we had a beautiful baby girl, Kaitlyn, on September 11 th in the early morning hours. She was post-term by eight days and completely healthy. She weighed 7 lbs. and 4 oz. and was 20 1/2 in. She was born with a head full of thick dark brown hair and the longest eye lashes that I have ever seen on a baby. She definitely takes after her daddy’s looks. She was extremely alert and bright-eyed shortly after her birth. Now, at six weeks, she is very active and has already rolled over three times. She has been such a blessing to us and our family and melts the hearts of all those she meets! I can’t thank you enough Dr. Mac and your fantastic staff. Without all of you, this would not have been possible for us. We had nearly given up all hope before our first visit with you and now here we are… You have touched the lives of so many in such a profound way. Without you we would not have our precious little Kaitlyn to love and watch grow into the amazing person that I know she is destined to become. Being a mother is so wonderful and I will never forget the amazing doctor and staff that made it all happen. I wish you all the best and I hope to see all of you again.
